18 Wheels - April 8 - April 25, 2010

A High-Speed Musical Journey

Written by John Gray

Directed by David Nairn

Musical Director:  Bruce Ley

Choreographer:  Pamela Scott

Starring Cory O'Brien, Bobby Prochaska, and Leisa Way

A high-speed rockin' musical journey through miles of Ontario forest land, the flat endless prairies, and the Rocky Mountains with their twisted, tortuous roads where a missed gear change or a "blowout in the front" will find you rusting dead in your rig at the bottom of the canyon!  It'll turn your dashboard dial to rock 'n roll, gospel and country and western.  So put the hammer down and take a trip with us along the highways of this great land.

Written by John Gray in 1976,18 Wheels is a musical salute to some of Canada’s finest, our long distance truck drivers. The show follows the exuberance shared by all truck drivers who start off small, working for someone else, but whose dream is to own their very own rig.  If you enjoyed Blue Suede Shoes – Memories of the King or are a fan of rock ‘n’roll, gospel or country music, then Theatre Orangeville invites you on this wonderful journey.
