2010 FALL PROGRAM

THE WHOLE SHEBANG

Dates:  Mondays, September 20  – November 15  (no class Thanksgiving Monday)

Location: Theatre Orangeville Rehearsal Hall

Ever wonder what it takes to be a triple threat?  Want to really deliver in auditions?  Then you don't want to miss this opportunity!  In this 8-week course, participants will work with a number of Theatre Orangeville instructors to learn a variety of audition-based skills, including improvisation,  clowning,  musical theatre, movement, classical monologue work, characterization and scene study.   After 8 classes, participants will have a strong base with which to impress any auditioning panel! 

Cost: $180.00 plus HST

2011 SPRING PROGRAM

THE DIRECTOR'S CUT

Dates:  Mondays, March 28 - May 2

Time:  7:00 - 9:00 pm

Location:  New Theatre Orangeville Rehearsal Hall (Located on Dufferin Road 3 at Highway 9)

Come and explore!  Try your hand at directing!  Lean how to help the actor and the actor in you to explore the work.  Discover what developing the character teaches us about ourselves and the world we live in.

A challenging and exciting course that will help you step inside the art and really explore what you are capable of in a fun filled and safe environment!  An opportunity to learn skills of directing using character study, scene study, script analysis, and performance.  Students will work at developing their process for accessing their own skills and creating memorable moments.

Skills developed will include; understanding ways to approach a script, acting skills and understanding the roles of the actor and the director.  In the end, performance skills will be enhanced and there will be a demonstration night offered for family and friends.  This is a course for those who already have some experience and wish to further challenge themselves and develop their skills.
