COVID-19 Update

Date Posted: 14/03/2020

In accordance with and in full support of the decision made by the Town of Orangeville, to close some public municipal facilities today at 6pm, Theatre Orangeville is cancelling all remaining performances of Too Close to Home, effectively immediately, as a precautionary measure in response to the ongoing concerns around the spread of COVID-19. At this time this closure is expected to last three weeks, after which time we will re-evaluate our status on moving forward based on the recommendations from Public Health Ontario.
Ensuring the health of our patrons, staff, volunteers, and artists is of the utmost importance to us, and while cancelling the remaining performances of our current production leaves us with very heavy hearts, we believe that it is a necessary step to take at this time to do our part in minimizing the risk to our community.
For Too Close to Home ticket holders, a credit for the full amount of your ticket purchase will be placed in your Theatre Orangeville account and you will be contacted directly by our box office to make future arrangements.
We ask that ticket holders please DO NOT call the Box Office regarding your tickets until you hear from us. This will allow our staff to handle the complexities of the situation as smoothly as possible, and ensure our front line staff have all of the necessary procedures in place.
As a registered not-for-profit Theatre, we are grateful for your continued support, patience and understanding during this unprecedented time. We know this time will be challenging for many, and because of this we are even more appreciative of those who have chosen to and will choose to continue making donations to Theatre Orangeville over the coming weeks. Your generosity will ensure we are able to continue to deliver exceptional Canadian Theatre on YOUR stage as soon as business is back to normal. To make a donation, CLICK HERE.
We promise to keep you informed and will continue to make decisions based on current recommendations from The Town of Orangeville and Public Health, as well as in response to changing conditions.
