Volunteering at Theatre Orangeville
As Theatre Orangeville celebrates it's fifteenth year in our community, we recognize the significance of the contribution of hundreds of volunteers who continue to be the backbone of our organization.

Volunteer Opportunities:
Theatre Ushers and Greeters
Our largest single group of volunteers, and always in demand. At each performance we have a team of up to 10 volunteers who welcome you to the theatre and strive to make your experience a pleasant one. The commitment is a minimum of two performances per show.
Ushers/greeters are requested to be at the Theatre one hour before performances begin and may leave directly after the show.
Dress code: black top with black skirt or pants.
Poster Distribution
Five times a year this team heads out to strategically post the first notice that our show is about to begin. Posters go up in Orangeville, Grand Valley, Shelburne, Alliston and smaller communities around the county.
Do you have a day five times a year? Many hands make light work!
Technical Assistance = muscle power!
Be part of the scene! Sets are designed and built in Orangeville under the supervision of our Technical director. Assistance is needed to "load in" and "load out" each show. And, if you have the time and interest we would encourage you to hang around and help with assembly too.
Office Help or Event Assistance
Occassionally we have projects that require a team of folks to get the job done. Regular staff at the theatre can handle the endless day to day work, mailings and events can put it over the top. If you can give us a day three or four times a year, you will help us keep our sanity! Let us know if you have your "Smart Serve" qualifications. Opening Night receptions required certified servers.
