Seating remains limited to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.

The Provincial government recently loosened restrictions for many live event venues, including theatres, thereby allowing for 100% audience capacity in indoor venues, however, we believe it is critical to us that we return to your Theatre with an abundance of caution in order to ensure that your experience with us is both safe and enjoyable.
While it is exciting to think of the full houses we once knew so well, and can't wait to get back to that experience, we want to assure you that Theatre Orangeville will not be going to 100% capacity limits for the runs of A Christmas Carol and Beauty and the Beast.
For that production, we will indeed be increasing our capacity, but only to approximately 40%, up from our current 30% rate, thereby allowing for only 120 to 125 patrons at each performance.

When coupled with the continuation of full mask coverage required at all times, physical distancing in the theatre of one empty seat on all sides of your party, demonstration of full vaccination status and photo ID as well as the verbal health declaration, we believe this will allow you, our cherished audience, to continue to attend your beloved theatre safely … our number one priority.

As a result, seating availability in the theatre will continue to remain very limited, but in addition to the in-theatre experience, we will be offering patrons the option of viewing the production via live stream or video capture, both of which can be enjoyed in the comfort of your own home.

As we move forward in the season, we will continue to revisit our capacity and safety policies on a show-by-show basis and will keep you apprised of any changes.
