Theatre Orangeville removes barriers to a larger audience

Theatre Orangeville will offer a relaxed performance Dec. 19 of The Last Christmas Turkey, A Musical, at the Town Hall Opera House. A relaxed performance is open to everyone but intended to be sensitive to and accepting of anyone who may find the theatre environment challenging for any reason including a health condition or disability, fear of the dark, loud noises or confined spaces.

This is the first time Theatre Orangeville will offer this type of performance. It will enable families that may not normally be able to take in a performance to enjoy the theatre together, said David Nairn, the company’s artistic director.
