Associate Artistic Director

Jennifer Stewart is a Canadian theatre director, actor and educator with over 35 years of professional experience, both directing and performing internationally, as well as in theatres across Canada. She is a graduate of the Music Theatre Performance Program at Sheridan College in Oakville, Ontario and holds an MFA in Theatre Directing from East 15/University of Essex in London, UK.

Jennifer has spent nine seasons with the Stratford Festival as both an actor (The Taming of the Shrew, The Imaginary Invalid, Fiddler on the Roof) and an assistant director (HMS Pinafore, Long Day’s Journey into Night, Othello). While with the Stratford Festival she was a participant of the Michael Langham Program for Classical Theatre Direction under the mentorship of the incomparable Martha Henry.

Jennifer brings her passion, knowledge and experience into this new role as Artistic Director of Theatre Orangeville with wonder and curiosity.
