Laura Austin

Laura enjoyed a fabulous 36 year career as an Air Canada flight attendant.  It encompassed two of her greatest passions, travelling and serving others, while affording her a lifestyle to spend quality time with the love of her life, Frank and watch their daughter Dani grow into a lovely young lady.  

She feels privileged to live in this area for over 30 years, surrounded by wonderful family, friends and neighbours.  The Austins owned and operated a successful local business, The Land of the Glass Slipper, where they made children’s birthday dreams come true.  

Laura believes in the importance of community volunteerism and has been a serial volunteer for most of her adult life.  She values hard work and the generosity of those around her.  

In addition to her responsibilities as President on the TOV Board of Directors, she enjoys singing with the Orangeville Show Chorus, being a member of the Horticultural Society and can be seen regularly bird watching in Island Lake Conservation.
