Laura Austin
Board Director, Chair
Laura enjoyed a fabulous 36 year career as an Air Canada flight attendant. Â It encompassed two of her greatest passions, travelling and serving others, while affording her a lifestyle to spend quality time with the love of her life, Frank and watch their daughter Dani grow into a lovely young lady. Â
She feels privileged to live in this area for over 30 years, surrounded by wonderful family, friends and neighbours.  The Austins owned and operated a successful local business, The Land of the Glass Slipper, where they made children’s birthday dreams come true. Â
Laura believes in the importance of community volunteerism and has been a serial volunteer for most of her adult life. Â She values hard work and the generosity of those around her. Â
In addition to her responsibilities as President on the TOV Board of Directors, she enjoys singing with the Orangeville Show Chorus, being a member of the Horticultural Society and can be seen regularly bird watching in Island Lake Conservation.
