Well, everybody's got one, a list of must-have items, gift ideas for the 'blah-blah' enthusiast in your home or on your list... And we all know someone who LOVES the Theatre - so we're here with our top 10 gifts you can pick up and give this Holiday season. Every gift on this list helps support the Theatre - so it's really a gift this keeps on giving!
#1 - Tickets to The Last Christmas Turkey:
That's right! Running NOW through December 23rd, this gift is perfect for the recipient you'll see before Christmas (or can email tickets to)!
Our festive talk of a Turkey named Tom, who is taken in by Young Braden & Nancy. Unbeknownst to the youngsters, Tom is meant to be the main course of the local church Christmas supper! Follow Tom, Braden & Nancy as they journey along with Spartacus the owl, Cleo the Cat & Petunia the Skunk - on a hilarious adventure of friendship that pulls on the heartstrings, and gives the whole family a laugh.
#2 - Tickets to any of our 2023 productions; Beneath Springhill, The Bluff, or The New Canadian Curling Club:
Maybe the Theatre-enthusiast on your list can't make it to a show before December 23rd, or you won't see them until after the Holidays. That's ok - we have 3 more shows on our playbill this season that they won't want to miss!
Beneath Springhill: The Maurice Ruddick Story - written by Beau Dixon - Beneath Springhill is the incredible story of Maurice Ruddick, "the singing miner" an African-Canadian who survived nine days underground during the historic Springhill mining disaster of 1958. The play is a celebration of hope, courage and community.
The Bluff - a World Premiere written by Beau Dixon - Disturbed by recent tragedy, scientist Edwin Voss is urged by his fiancée Aurora, to take a sabbatical in the secluded house Edwin inherited from a dying aunt. But, when they arrive, they soon learn the bluff is no place for peace and quiet, and the ghosts of their past may not be the only thing haunting them.
The New Canadian Curling Club - written by Mark Crawford - Four new Canadians from around the globe sign up for a weekly "Learn to Curl" class. Trouble is, their reluctant coach has some strong opinions about immigrants. What follows is the hilarious and inspiring story of a group of unlikely athletes who face off against local prejudice to become a true team. A reflection on the meaning of what it means to be a Canadian, no matter how long you've called the place home.

#5 - Give the gift of Christmas Cheer - Buy a Cocktail recipe book and support YOUR Theatre
That's right, we have not one, but two cocktail books available for purchase:
- Raise Your Spirits: Queen Victoria cut her whiskey with red wine and the Margarita is not the national drink of Mexico. In Raise Your Spirits! 21 Cocktails in 21 Acts, Theatre Orangeville's Artistic Director David Nairn mixes, shakes and stirs up an entertaining how-to book, to expand your skill and range of fancy alcohol-based drinks. Not surprisingly, each cocktail is lovingly directed like a tiny one-act play. With his trademark humour and sublime story-telling David pours with a steady hand in these unsteady times. Raise Your Spirits! delivers fun, with a twist. It's a must-have addition to any well-stocked liquor cabinet or seasonal stocking. All proceeds go to support Theatre Orangeville programming.
- Unscripted Spirits: Theatre Orangeville's 2nd charming book of cocktails, recipes and stories. This time Artistic Director David Nairn is joined by friends of the Theatre, from the actors you've loved to the crew you have yet to meet. Grab a copy for that thirsty person on your list and learn to mix the perfect Manhattan, or make a Paper Plane, or even just to have the Last Word.
