Theatre Orangeville is pleased to announce that we have been awarded a grant from the Experience Ontario 2025 program, under the Province of Ontarioâs Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport. This funding supports in-person festivals and events that invite people to discover our region, connect with their communities and stimulate visitor spending.
This grant went towards our 2025 Summer Arts Fest , which moved home to the Opera House and Alexandra Park this past August. Through this initiative we :
- Engaged more artists from our region and beyond, bringing fresh voices and talent into our community.
- Attracted new audiences from outside our immediate area, encouraging tourism and increasing local economic activity.
- Partnered with local businesses, hospitality providers, and community organizations to build immersive cultural experiences and strengthen the visitor experience.
- Ensured accessibility and inclusivity so that live performing arts remain financially and physically accessible to people of all ages and abilities.
This funding from Experience Ontario enables Theatre Orangeville to deliver on our mission to enrich our community with high-quality, professional theatre; to provide unique opportunities for youth and emerging artists; to build dynamic partnerships across our region; and to celebrate diversity, champion acceptance and embrace all abilities.
âWe are thrilled and grateful to be a recipient of the Experience Ontario 2025 grant,â said Sharyn Ayliffe, Executive Director of Theatre Orangeville. âWith this support we will push the boundaries of what live theatre can mean for our community and our visitors â weâll innovate our programming, deepen local connections, and invite people from near and far to experience the power of live performing arts right here in Orangeville.â
