Theatre Orangeville and our Board of Directors are thrilled our event is back, and better than ever!

If you weren't able to attend our 'Twas The Night... Gala event on Saturday November 12th, you missed out on a gorgeous and memorable evening. But don't worry - we've got the scoop here for you! ''Twas' was a night, not soon to be forgotten - filled with music and specially planned entertainment from the Theatre Orangeville Family and Alumni, delicious food & drink, breathtaking holiday decor, a highly competitive and entertaining silent and LIVE auction - not to mention the opportunity to once again get out together in the community and raise a glass and enjoy one another's company.

For those not in the know - our 'Twas The Night... Gala event (formerly Victorian Christmas) - takes place annually in mid-November, and is the foremost fundraising event of the calendar year in support of Theatre Orangeville and all our Programs (Academy and Creative Partners On Stage), as well as our Mainstage. These programs and shows are all available here in YOUR backyard, on YOUR stage, right in the heart of our Town.

Ticketholders to this premiere event were out in their Holiday and Gala best on Saturday night. Hosted by our always witty and highly entertaining, David Nairn (Artistic Director, Theatre Orangeville), the evening kicked off with champagne and mingling - along with a bit of competition amidst the wide array of gorgeous silent auction items, so generously donated by our sponsors, partners, board members, Theatre Orangeville staff, and community. Leading into our LIVE auction items - the competition was fierce at times amongst our 'Twas bidders. We'd like to think everyone went home with something special - and not just because of the stunning entertainment they were treated to in-between auction sessions. Our performers prepared a mix of holiday favourites, show-tune toe-tappers, and popular music medley's - sometimes bringing a tear to the eye of those in the room. (Yes, our performers are that good!)

A highlight of the evening, the announcement of our new Program Director for T.O.Y.S. (Theatre Orangeville Youth Singers). The Theatre Orangeville Team is enormously proud and excited to welcome Elisabeth DuBois as the new Program Director for T.O.Y.S. Elisabeth is a T.O.Y.S. alumni and has been a performer on the Theatre Orangeville stage many times in our almost 30 year history. Elisabeth currently teaches music in Shelburne, and is very excited to be a part of the return of this beloved local youth choir. Stay tuned for more information on auditions (November 28th) and their location (TBD). (Or get the 411 and register for auditions here).

The Theatre Orangeville Team would like to formally thank all who were involved in this event and in bringing it to life. Re-branding an annual fundraiser is no easy task, and our Board of Directors and Theatre Staff planned and executed this event flawlessly - Congratulations Team!!
