Join Theatre Orangeville and BookLore for a timely and thought-provoking Authors on Stage event featuring The Honourable Jody Wilson-Raybould, former Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada, Indigenous leader, lawyer and bestselling author.

Her newest book, The Inbetween Leader: Cultivating Courage and Unity in a Complex World, co-authored with lawyer, educator and conflict-resolution expert Roshan Danesh, offers a compelling alternative to traditional models of leadership rooted in hierarchy, competition and division.

At the centre of the book is the idea of the “inbetweener” — someone willing to stand in complex and sometimes uncomfortable spaces, navigate different worldviews and build meaningful connection without asking people to erase their differences.

Drawing from Indigenous governance traditions, lived experience and community-driven practices, The Inbetween Leader explores leadership grounded in consultation, compassion, courage and shared humanity.

It asks us to reconsider how we lead in our workplaces, communities and families — and offers practical ways to bridge differences and create meaningful unity in an increasingly polarized world.
