For years, ’Twas the Night has brought together our generous sponsors, donors and patrons in support of Theatre Orangeville’s mission. Together, we’ve celebrated the power of live theatre while helping ensure Canadian stories continue to be told, young artists discover their passion, and audiences of all ages have a place to gather, connect and belong.
Now, our annual premiere fundraising event is entering its next act.
We are proud to introduce Spotlight, an exciting evolution of this cherished tradition. More than a new name, Spotlight reflects the enduring spirit of this event while celebrating everything your generosity makes possible, shining a light on Canadian stories, emerging artists, youth, inclusion, and the generous community whose support makes it all possible.
‍
A Reimagined Experience
This year, Spotlight takes on an exciting new format as a Sunday afternoon luncheon, creating an opportunity for even more of our community partners, sponsors, patrons and supporters to come together in celebration.
Replacing the traditional Saturday evening gala, this elegant afternoon offers the same warmth, entertainment and excitement guests have come to expect, reimagined in a relaxed and welcoming setting that encourages connection and conversation.
Guests will enjoy a beautifully prepared three-course luncheon while experiencing captivating live performances by Theatre Orangeville artists and special guests from the Canadian theatre industry. The afternoon will also feature exciting silent and live auctions, along with the return of our much-loved Buy Your Bauble draw, featuring a signature piece generously donated by Gallery Gemma.
And that’s just the beginning. More performers, special guests and unique experiences will be announced in the weeks ahead, making Spotlight an unforgettable afternoon in support of Theatre Orangeville.

What is Theatre for Young Audiences?
We believe theatre is a powerful tool. It dramatizes and contextualizes the world. It invites us to walk in other’s shoes; see the world through their eyes.
All of our Theatre for Young Audiences (TYA)Â shows are grounded in the Ontario curriculum; they teach, through theatre.
Bonus: we hire educators to create study packages, so your classroom can get the most out of the experience.
Theatre doesn’t have to break the bank.
StageTOScreen.
Watch theatre on demand.
Stream shows from your theatre in your home.
Our new on-demand streaming service brings the theatre to you.
Watch dozens of titles from our ever-growing library.
We couldn’t do it without our supporters.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for supporting live theatre, local artists, and Canadian storytelling.
